Day 1
Trivandrum - Kovalam

Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Trivandrum Airport/Railway Station for your Kerala beach honeymoon tour. Later proceed to Kovalam reach and check in at the Hotel. The beach of Kovalam is known as the ‘Paradise of the South`. With high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlight nights. SIGHTSEEING : Chowara Beach

Chowara Beach is a pristine and secluded beach in Thiruvananthapuram that is famous for its fishing spots. It is a picturesque spot that regularly attracts picnickers. The Chowara Ayyappa Temple nearby gives an even better view of the beach from its immaculate hilltop location.


To begin, this beach has many names: Sea Rock beach, Eve's beach, and some even call it Kovalam beach, which is wrong because that term applies to the whole area. The good things: it has excellent swimming for domestic tourists, who generally not only can't swim, but often have never seen the ocean and waves before in their life. Being a smaller bay to Lighthouse beach around the corner, it is mostly a calmer sea (though not always). This means you can stand or sit on the edges, and enjoy the smaller waves that roll in.

SIGHTSEEING : Kovalam Beach

Kovalam Beach is a magnificent and an internationally renowned beach. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists with amassive rocky promontory on the beach that has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. Sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes and catamaran cruising are some of the best facilities offered here. The beach complex includes budget cottages, convention facilities, shopping zones, swimming pools, Ayurvedic health resorts, Yoga and Ayurvedic massage centres.

SIGHTSEEING : Lighthouse Beach

Light house beach is named after the 30 meter high Light house here which is the most important feature of this beach. The Light House is located towards the southern end of the beach and it's on a cape. There is an observation platform from which you can see Poovar in one direction and the famous Beemapalli mosque on the other. You can reach this platform by climbing a total of 142 steps.


The Napier Museum is an art and natural history museum situated in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala, India. The museum was established in 1855. In 1874, the old Museum Building was demolished and foundation for the new building was laid. The new building was named after Lord Napier, the Governor of Madras from 1866-1872.

SIGHTSEEING : Samudra Beach

Samudra beach which is a scenic jewel to Kovalam is located towards the north most region of Kovalam beach. This is separated from other beaches by disjointed fissures and giant promontory. The beach has enormous attractive features among which the most prominent is its isolation and the feel of serenity it offers.

Day 2
Kovalam - Trivandrum sightseeing - Kovalam

After enjoying the breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of Trivandrum.  The major attractions of Trivandrum are Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple, Veli Tourist Village, Shangumugham Beach where one can watch the amazing sunset. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

SIGHTSEEING : Shangmugham Beach

Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, south India. The beach is on the western side of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and very near to Trivandrum International Airport. The vast stretch of white sand and the serene atmosphere, away from the crowd in the city, provide all the ingredients for relaxation and for spending an ideal evening.

SIGHTSEEING : Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Padmanabhaswamy Temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The temple is built in an intricate fusion of the indigenous Kerala style and the Tamil style of architecture associated with the temples located in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu, featuring high walls, and a 16th-century Gopuram.

SIGHTSEEING : Veli Tourist Village

Veli is a tourist village that is popular as a picnic destination in Thiruvananthapuram district. The place features a large garden on the southern banks of Veli Lagoon a floating bridge that connects this garden to the Veli Beach. It is an ideal destination for a family picnic as there are wide range of attractions such as play areas for children, boat rides in Veli Lake, horse riding option, and a floating restaurant can be found here. Apart from these, there is a a long walkway connecting Aakulam Lake that catches one’s attention, there are also some stone and grass sculptures by Kanayi Kunhiraman which add to the landscape of the garden a collection of birds such as pigeons and swans, and few small ponds with fish and tortoises in them.

Kovalam - Alleppey ( Houseboat)

After enjoying the breakfast to Alleppey at 8.00am. By noon check in to the Houseboat for a 20 hour long stay and 5 hour cruise through the world famous backwaters of Kerala. Houseboat (Kettuvalloms) is a indigenously developed and designed private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms, hygiene kitchen, dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty of the back waters. The cruise through palm fringed narrow canals, the unique life of the backwater people and above all the nature around you will make long lasting impressions in your mind. Overnight stay in a houseboat.

SIGHTSEEING : Alleppey Beach

Alappuzha Beach is a beach in Alappuzha town and a tourist attraction in Kerala, India.Beach has an old pier which extend to sea is over 150 years old.Alappuzha beach host many events annually like Alappuzha beach festival,Sand art festival and many more. Alappuzha beach is one of the major tourist spot in Alappuzha town. Alappuzha lighthouse situated near to the beach.Beach is accessible through various town roads and an elevated highway will passing by the beach as part of Alappuzha bypass in order to preserve the beauty of the area.Camel safaris was another attraction in beach which introduced a couple of years ago but it got banned by authorities.

SIGHTSEEING : Kettuvallam

Kettuvallam is a house boat widely used in the Indian state of Kerala. These have thatched roof covers over wooden hulls.The traditional kettuvallam is mainly used for promoting Kerala tourism. Boats in a variety of shapes and sizes have traditionally been the main means of transport of men and materials in the Kerala backwaters since olden days.In particular, the house boats were used to ship rice and spices and other goods between Kuttanad and the Cochin port. It was a three-day affair in those days. A standard house boat, which could be about 100 feet long, can hold up to 30 tons, about as much as three big lorries can carry.For the royalty these boats even became comfortable living quarters.It was the important mode of transportation in coastal Kerala just because of its accessibility to the most remote areas.

SIGHTSEEING : Punnamada Lake

Punnamada Lake (also called Punnamada Kayal) is a part of the Vembanad Lake, which is the biggest lake in Kerala. Vembanad Lake spans to a number of districts in Kerala. Hence, it is called by different names at different parts of Kerala. When the lake reaches Kuttanad, it is called Punnamada Lake or Punnamada Kayal. The Port of Kochi is located around two islands the Willingdon Island and Vallarpadam which lie in this lake. The lake is called Kochi Lake in this part of Kerala. The famous Annual Nehru Trophy Race of Kerala is also conducted on parts of Punnamada Lake. The Kochi Lake is a portion of the Vembanad Lake, which is located in and around the Kochi Mainland. Kochi Lake forms home for several groups of small islands, which include Vypin, Mulavukad, Vallarpadam and Willingdon Island. Kochi Lake is home for the Kochi Port, which has been built around the Willingdon Island, as well as the Vallarpadam Island. Punnamada wetland system has a wide spanning area of over 2033.02sqkm hence making it the largest wetland system in India. The major part which interests the modern scholars and tourists alike is the Barrier Island which separates the fresh water lake from the saline marine water. The canals link the lake to the other fresh water resources and lakes which keep the inflow of the fresh water into this water body. Punnamada Lake surrounds three main islands of Kerala, which are Pathiramanal, Perumbalam and Pallippuram. The islands are located on the widest part of the lake where the width of the lake is widest in breadth, approximately 14km. The lake is an extension of Vembanad Kayal, which spans from Alappuzha in the south to Azheekkode in the north. The total area which is drained by the lake is 15,770sqkm, which is almost 40% of the total area of Kerala state. The area of the surface runoff is 21,900km which is 30% of the total surface water resource of Kerala. Hence, Punnamada Lake is the largest surface water ecosystem of India.

SIGHTSEEING : Chinese Fishing Net

Chinese fishing nets are a type of stationary lift net in India. They are fishing nets that are fixed land installations for fishing. Each installation is operated by a team of up to six fishermen. While such nets are used throughout coastal southern China and Indochina, in India they are mostly found in the Indian cities of Kochi and Kollam, where they have become a tourist attraction. This way of fishing is unusual in India and almost unique to the area, as it was introduced by Chinese explorers. Indeed, one interpretation of the city name Kochi is ‘co-chin', meaning ‘like China.’

SIGHTSEEING : Marine Drive

Marine is a beautiful and picturesque promenade in Kochi which faces towards the backwaters of Kochi. It's one of the famous must-visit places for tourists and local populace. It's 140 m walkway that stretches from the Jankar Jetty (north) to the Emakulam Boat Jetty (South). It is situated along the edge of backwaters that begins behind the Children's Park ending at the Shanmugham Road. It is surfaced with black-dotted, red-carpet ultra tiles. Wooden benches, cast-ironed, weather-proof seating on ash grey tiles offers utmost relaxation.

SIGHTSEEING : St. Francis Church

The St. Francis Church, well-known for its beautiful structural design and ambience, has an important place in history. It is here that the famous explorer, Vasco-da-Gama, was originally buried. His remains would be taken back 14 years later but to this day, the exact spot is clearly marked. The place is known for its deep Dutch and Portuguese influences and is an architectural marvel in itself.

Important Information about Kerala Houseboat services.

  • Check-in time at Houseboat is 12.00 hrs. & Check-out time is 09.00 hrs.
  • Houseboat will be stationed at one place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am next day due to Govt. restrictions.
  • Houseboats are accompanied by navigator, cook and a helper.
  • In Deluxe category Houseboat, A/C will be operational from 9.00 pm to 6.00 am next day.
  • In Premium Houseboat & Luxury Houseboat, A/C will be operational as per guest request anytime.
  • No two houseboats are of same size and quality. The interior of two houseboats also varies.
  • Houseboats are for exclusive use and not shared by other guest unless specified.
  • Guests are requested to carry mosquito and insect repellents since at night the boat are anchored along the waterway.
  • Always keep the door of the bedroom and washroom closed to avoid mosquitoes and insects.
  • Choices of food are limited and mostly South Indian foods are served.
  • Quality of houseboat cannot be compared with that of hotels, where the guests were staying previously.
  • Houseboat rooms are small in size and have basic amenities.
